Diego Sanchez - Executive Chef
A restaurant focusing on world cuisine needs a chef that can reflect a truly global scope for flavor. Born in Peru Diego Sanchez moved to the United States on 1999 where he discovered his passion at the age of 17 after helping his uncle in a restaurant for a week. “I have done and loved it all” Diego says “from “flipping burgers at burger king to the finest restaurants in New York City .”
Rising to the level of executive chef in the demanding restaurant circles of New York City is difficult. But rising through the ranks of restaurants such as Le Benardin, American Cut, Veritas and La Mar, Diego met that challenge and excelled as he developed his craft. Working hand in hand with internationally recognized chefs like Jean George, Gaston Acurio, Marc Forgione, Eric Ripert and Craig Shelton expanded Diegos’ range from his family heritage of Peruvian cooking greats to encompass other cuisines. Knowing that experience only can limit range, Diego attended the Art Institute of New York City and continues his professional development by taking part in work shops and classes.
Currently in continuing with the ambassador culture of the United Nations Plaza, Diego is an Executive Advisor representing Peruvian gastronomy in the culinary world.
Felencia Davis - Pastry Chef
Renowned NYC Pastry Chef Felencia Davis perfected her pastries over her 20-year career in restaurant hotspots across the USA. A formally-trained Chef, Darius worked her way up the New York City restaurants scene before falling in love with Pastry Arts. It was under the tutelage of a Belgian Chef and future business partner, that she fell in love with desserts. T
ogether they opened three restaurants in French, Belgian, Asian fusion, and Kosher cuisine. Recognized for her wonderful soufflés, she became a go-to Pastry Chef for a famed NYC kosher hospitality group. For 10-years, she specialized in fine dairy-free desserts, custom cakes, and pastries for the family of 6 restaurants. Her passion for cooking started early in life, as she and her sisters grew up in a traditional Haitian home, helping their mother prepare meals for family and friends.
Situated in the Midtown East, on the ground floor of the UN Plaza, the space features two private rooms, large dining area, private booths, sushi bar seating can accommodate private dining and events. Our venue caters to UN functions, corporate and social events, all with a professional and dedicated wait-staff by your side.
